In Islam out of thousands of Mosques, 3 mosques are considered the holiest. Namely; Masjid Al-Aqsa, Masjid Al-Haram, Masjid Ul-Nabawi. 1. Masjid Al-Aqsa

Situated in Jerusalem, Masjid Al-Aqsa was the Qibla-e-Awal (First Qibla) for Muslims before The Hoy Kaabah was Built. It dates back to thousands of years. Muslims used to offer all their prayers in the direction of Masjid ...
... Al-Aqsa. Until, Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) while receiving a revelation during a prayer session in the Masjid al-Qiblatayn, shifted the direction of Qibla to Holy Kaabah in Makkah. Ever since Holy Kaabah is the only Qibla for Muslims.

The entire site of the Masjid sits alongside the Dome of the Rock. The 4 Minarets and the 17 Gates; the wider area is referred to as “Al-Haram ash-Sharif” or “The Noble Sanctuary”.

In Islam, it has been narrated that, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), on the journey of ‘Miraj’, were transferred to Al-Aqsa from Makkah on Buraq. He (PBUH), tethered Buraq to the Western Wall, took a stay there and led all the Prophets that have come to this world in prayer. After which he (PBUH), with Jibril (AS) travelled to Heavens to meet Allah Almighty.

2. Masjid Al-Haram

Surrounding the Holy Kaabah, Masjid Al-Haram is situated in Makkah, Saudia Arabia. Makkah is the Birthplace of our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) and where he first started preaching the message of Islam. This is the holiest site on earth for Muslims. Muslims come here for the performance of Umrah and Hajj. In the past, Billions already have come here and trillions will come till the end.

The well of Zamzam water is also just 20 meters from the Holy Kaabah, inside the mosque. The jewels of Paradise; Maqam-e-Ibrahim and Hajar-e-Aswad (the Black Stone) are also here, close to the Kaabah.

3. Masjid Al-Nabawi

Masjid Ul-Nabawi, situated in Madinah, Saudia Arabia is the resting place of our Prophet Hazrat Muhamad (PBUH). Roza-e-Rasool is here. He (PBUH) himself built this masjid after migration to Madinah. It is the place of exceptional spirituality for all the Muslims living across the globe. Now, it is among one of the most sacred and largest mosques in the world.
