Prevent Kidney Disease With These 8 Tips

The kidneys are located below the rib cage on either side of the back. Our kidneys are critical to our health as it serves to remove waste from the blood and regulate fluid levels in the body. If your kidneys overload with toxins, kidney and bladder disease may occur, disabling your body from properly discharging waste and urine from the body.
Symptoms of kidney problems include:
* Frequent urination
* Lower back pain.
* Burning sensation during urination.
* Edema ( a.k.a water holding) in the lungs, legs, abdomen, etc.
* Swelling around the face, eyes, feet and ankles.
* Blood in the urine.
A healthy, balanced diet and proper levels of water are generally enough to keep your kidneys humming along. If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, you should consider these following tips to get your kidneys functioning at an optimal level.
1. Balanced diet. By increasing plant-based foods and decreasing refined foods, you'll increase the alkaline in your kidneys. Alkalinized kidneys is important for optimum kidney health.
2. Less salt. ...
... Excess salt can lead to higher calcium buildups in your blood which can result in kidney stones.
3. More water. Drinking water flushes out toxins and prevents kidney stones. Too much water is bad for your kidneys so make sure to drink smaller amounts throughout the day.
4. Quit smoking. Not only does smoking increase your risk of lung cancer and other serious diseases, it also increases the risk of kidney disease. Quit smoking today!
5. Limit booze. Your kidneys work harder to remove toxins from your blood each time you drink alcohol. Put limits on the amount you drink or drink booze with food.
6. Less meat. Meat is acidic to your body and generates uric acid which can result in uric stones or gout. Gross.
7. Reduce caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic which results in less body fluids. If you're dehydrated, your kidneys will have to work harder to get rid of toxins which results in excess pressure on them.
8. Maintain normal blood sugar and blood pressure. Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two leading causes of kidney disease. Too much glucose will damage your kidneys and high blood pressure can damage their small blood vessels. Damage to the vessels means your body isn't filtering water products from the blood.
Follow the above tips and go on a kidney cleanse to cleanse the kidneys, bladder and urinary tract. Above all, be kind to your kidneys and it'll be kind to you!
