Today's Tale: How The Search Of Gourmet Food Helped Me Learn Different Cultures

For most of us, food is a necessity and is one crucial aspect of our lives. But for some of us, it’s life itself, and I am one of them. In the search for some of the best food and explore new cuisines earlier this year, I decided to travel around the globe. Starting with Asia, I took my route from the southern Asian countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, etc. And I made my way through the Middle East, Europe, United States, Mexico, Peru, Australia, Japan, and completed my journey in South Korea. During my trip, most of the time, or perhaps, majorly, I booked my airline tickets from Cheapbestfares. They helped me find low-cost airline tickets each time while flying to a new destination and made me save a lot of money.
Starting from India, my journey was quite simple, and it was much more leaned towards exploring the food at first. I made my way through the famous regional Indian cuisines. The delicacies which I came across were pretty intense and left me completely overwhelmed. The best of them were all the ...
... Punjabi dishes and especially the “Lassi” and the South Indian “Idli Sambhar,” also I enjoyed the Rajasthani ‘Dal Baati Churma, which one should try at least one time while they are in India. The dish is fantastic and offers quite delicate tastes of regional India. Along with exploring food, one more thing that I came to realize that the food is not different from the culture of a country. Food speaks the tradition which has been kept and conditioned for thousands of years.
I remember when I was flying from Delhi to Kolkata, the lady who was I sitting across to talked on hours about how religion, race, and history has shaped the cuisine of India since ancient times. Flight booking from Cheapbestfares helped me throughout my journey, saving a reasonable sum of money and made me find cheap first class flights always.
After India, I went to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, where I came across food evolved through time, but their taste was as exquisite as it was in earlier times. The Middle Eastern cuisine had a variety of food options available, and their Hummus and Falafel was something that still resides in my heart. Also, the cultural aspect as wholly reflected in Middle Eastern food as well. Flying through Europe booking low-cost first-class flights from Cheapbestfares was much relaxing after a long journey from the South Asian countries and the Middle East. European cuisines are very distinct from cuisines of Asia and Middle Eastern cuisines. The food here completely changed from one country to another. The British folks were all about fish and chips, and the Italians were more about Pasta and wines. The French food was mainly focused on aesthetics and profound deliciousness, which I never tasted before. Cuisines across Europe helped me learn about its culture vividly and made me explore culture beyond food.
Flying to America became very inexpensive for me from booking cheap domestic flights from Cheapbestfares. The cuisine of Americans mainly involved the influence of European countries such as Italy, France, Britain, etc. I spent my time learning about American food and history from the Michelin stars chefs, and in my available time, I lingered through various museums and historical places. From the entire journey, I learned a lot about different types of food around the world and got a chance to taste each kind of food and drink eaten and enjoyed in various places around the world. I hope that you enjoyed the article and my journey to the different parts of the world. I’ll come back to you soon with a new tale. Till then, Namaste!
Writing has always been a hobby that I practiced religiously. Writing specifically for travel happened accidentally. In recent past years, I have realized that my words come out better when I experience scenarios and analyze the situation from my own perspective. And saying so, this is the only reason I travel a lot. I meet new people, in a new city every other week and I write about the local culture, food, and heritage. To add a bit about myself, I hail from Sacramento. It’s a beautiful city. I am 23 years old and I am a graduate in Literature. Personal hobbies include reading, writing, a bit of photography and snorkeling. I hope you enjoy my blogs and give reviews and suggestions anytime. Currently working with Cheapbestfares and traveling the world with their amazing low-cost airlines. Have a look, you will love it.
