Can Cannabis Legalisation Drop Alcohol Consumption?

Cannabis can be considered as an alternative to alcohol. According to different researches, it can be seen that in those states where cannabis is legal the rate of alcohol consumption is reduced.
How much is the demand for Cannabis?
Some other polls and surveys have shown a similar kind of trend. Most people prefer having cannabis as it is not expensive. Cannabis is not intoxicating like alcohol. So, it is comparatively less harmful. Most consumers were happy regarding the after-effects of consuming cannabis. It did not involve any hangovers or any other form of sickness which is quite common after having alcohol. CBD gummies or smoking weed is quite common in these places.
Recent studies tried to find out if cannabis could be used as a substitute for alcohol. However, it cannot be proved mostly because the researches are done on people of different ages, having a different lifestyle.
A new industry is growing
There has been a sharp increase in the cannabis industry. In the year 2016, the industry was earning around 6 billion dollars. It is thought that the annual rise in the sale of cannabis ...
... will reach close to 50 billion dollars by the year 2026.
Cannabis has become a part of people’s lifestyles in a good way. These brands are succeeding in the market because they are not forcing people to buy the products. Rather, these products fit into the lifestyle of the mass in such a way that everyone prefers it.
A number of other states in the US and UK and even beverage companies are trying to legalise marijuana. More than 43 % of people in the US want marijuana to be legalised. Millennials are interested in investing in cannabis sector stocks instead of others. The beverage industry is trying to make new products infused with the goodness of marijuana. For example, a recent company has launched a new kind of beer which is non-alcoholic and contains some amount of THC. This THC is a component of marijuana that is said to have psychoactive effects.
In short, we can say that cannabis is definitely a better choice than alcohol, and we can already see it being complimented.
