What Is This Guest Wi-fi?

Have you heard about guest Wi-Fi? We all have heard about Wi-Fi and have it in our house as well. No matter wherever we are travelling we look for Wi-Fi services as it allows us to stay connected without spending a single penny from our pocket. The moment we enter a restaurant or we are in the airport, or even in a cab, we immediately switch on the Wi-Fi connection so that we can get connected to the available Wi-Fi connection of that place. In fact, when guests come over to our house they too ask for the password to our Wi-Fi connection, isn’t it? But what is this guest Wi-Fi? What is the difference between this and the regular one? Should you opt for it? Today we are going to discuss all these and much more.
Guest Wi-Fi is a part of the normal Wi-Fi connection that we have at home. Here you need to ask your Internet service provider to create another Wi-Fi channel that will be specifically used by the guests. There are several reasons for doing this. Did you know that when you have guest Wi-Fi connection ...
... at home you are actually improving the safety and security of your Internet connection at home? Most of us are not aware or don’t take it seriously but our guest’s phone might be infected with virus. The moment they connect to the normal Wi-Fi connection at home they are transferring the virus. The next time, you log in using the Wi-Fi connection; the same virus gets transferred to your phone. Why do you want to undergo all this hassle? Why do you want to put your phone and other electronic devices that are connected to the Wi-Fi connection at risk? What will you do if the virus deletes all the data in your phone? Who will you blame then? You cannot go and accuse your guests. In fact they might not be ware as well that their device is infected. To avoid all this confusion and hassle, opt for guest Wi-Fi.
Guest Wi-Fi protects your and your guests’ devices at all times. Since the guest Wi-Fi is a separate connection and is no way connected to the regular Wi-Fi connection at home there is nothing to worry about. The virus will not get transferred to your home. There is another reason why you should opt for guest Wi-Fi. Why will you disclose the password of your Wi-Fi connection at home? You have spent so many hours to come up with a password that no one can hack and now you will disclose it your guests so easily? In case of guest Wi-Fi too you need a password but you have built this connection for the guests only so disclosing the password for it is not a big deal. If you still do not have guest Wi-Fi at home then go ahead and get it today. It is important to ensure that your phone remains safe and secure at all times.
