Long gone are the days where you just had to walk into a classroom in order to learn something new. With the technological advancements today, female programmers that might have lost touch with their programming skills can now get a chance to rekindle their flame by taking online classes. This is not only an opportunity that can benefit women coders, but also other women that may want to learn the craft. There are several online platforms that offer flexible lesson hours. This means that even caregivers can have a go at it. A majority of those virtual learning platforms will offer both online and offline classes and still award you with a certificate upon the successful completion of your course. This creates more employment and growth opportunities for women coders in various companies and organizations.

Digital Agencies

We’re lucky to be at a time where digital agencies are reaching out to women coders to help solve the issue of little to no women representation in influential talks and events. These agencies are giving innovative, entrepreneurial, and technical women a voice to share their knowledge with the world. The reason why digital agencies are taking it upon themselves to empower women is because many times women are often underrated and underrepresented in so many instances. Some of the events where women rarely have a say include conferences and networking events. As much as women take part in them, they rarely get the chance to speak and inform others at tech event invitations and academic conferences. From recently recorded data, it was seen that women who were assigned to speak during such events were 29% while 27% were invited as guest speakers. This is why some firms have created digital platforms that focus mostly on women in the software Industry to encourage young girls and working women to take up the profession. Female coders have changed the world and also deserve some recognition.

Useful Tools for Developing Countries

While there are women in developed countries all over the world trying to fight for equal gender and work opportunities, there are also women in developing countries that are still struggling to acquire very basic rights. This has triggered several leaders in the world to employ the use of tech tools as a way of dealing with this issue. Even though the number may not be as large as the opposite gender, there are female coders that have changed the world. This is the kind of information that needs to be shared with other young girls in developing countries in order to encourage them to undertake STEM courses and carry on in the same footsteps. Consequently, non-governmental organizations are also putting the focus on women related celebrations such as Women’s History Month that touches on the same. These celebrations are very important as they boost morale in women.

It’s important that the world joins hands to promote and uplift women that have coding skills since that will allow them to be on par with their male counterparts. The more women we empower, the better the world will be, and the more capable we will be in solving global problems.
