Most of us have Wi-Fi connection at home. It makes life easier and hassle free. You don’t have to depend on your phone’s data to access Internet. When you are at home or at someone else’s house you connect to their Wi-Fi. In fact all of us do this. It has become a reflex to us. The moment we enter someone’s house the first question e ask is about the Wi-Fi password. As if we cannot survive without it. But have you ever thought of the dangers associated with Wi-Fi? Have you ever thought that when you are sharing access to the Wi-Fi connection at home, you are posing a threat to you Internet connection? Let us explain how this happens. You have no idea whether the opposite person’s phone is virus infected or not. You don’t know what malware is store in their phone or what type of websites they visit. The moment they access your Wi-Fi connection there is a high chance of the virus being transferred to your network. As such everything gets infected and you are not aware of it as well. You have no idea bout serious that virus is and what type of damage it can do to your phone. We will not be amazed if your data gets lost ...
... or your photos get corrupt out of nowhere. And this is not all. Everyone who will access your Wi-Fi will suffer from the same consequences just because you gave your Wi-Fi access to someone else.

This is not all. Let’s talk about another scenario. When you go to someone’s house and access his or her Wi-Fi how do you know that it is a safe and trusted connection? If you ask them they will tell you that it is completely safe. It may be that they are no aware themselves and hence they told you so. But in this process your phone gets damaged. What do you do? Is there no solution to this problem? Well there is one solution and it is quite effective. Opt for guest Wi-Fi in your house. Ask your network operator to create another Wi-Fi access for your guests. It will have a different password and it will be access by only your guests. No one else in the house will access it. As such both the Wi-Fi network that you use and the guest Wi-Fi will be separate. As such there is no fear of any virus attack or your data getting corrupted. This is an extremely safe and secure way of accessing Internet when you go to someone’s house. Next time someone asks for the Wi-Fi access or you ask for it, insist on the guest Wi-Fi. If they do not have it, use your phone data to stay connected for the time being. Once you are back home, you can shift to your secure W-Fi connection. What do you think of this? Share your viewpoints with us. We would love to hear your take on this.
