Lakshmi Mittal Proved His Principal Was Wrong

When he was awarded Global Xavierian award by St. Xavier college, Mr. Mittal shared his memories about his college days. He said that he was honoured that St Xavier’s had decided to give this award to him. At the age of 16, he finished his hindi medium school in Kolkata and tried for the admissions in Xavier college. But the principal and jury denied his admission as he was from hindi medium school, thinking that he may not fit for english medium. Even though all the remaining colleges were ready to give admission to Mittal, he wanted to study in St Xavier. So he kept on knocking the Principal’s door. At last, principal had to gaveup and Mittal promised to his principal that he would be good student. And he proved it.

He took the challenge and studied well. It gave him lot of learning and helped him to grow as a suceessful business man. Proving his Principal wrong, he topped the university. His dedication, commitment and hard work made him to achieve his aim. He said that it was a great learning in business life . We all should have passion on what we are doing.

... offer from Xavier college. He told that when he topped the university he proved to jury that they were wrong. It gave him more satisfaction. He said that everybody will do hard work. But we should have something to differ from others.

He said that If he had to have an alternative career he like to work as lecturer and he said parting education and parting knowledge is a great cause for a society and for the students who are future leaders of tomorrow.
