Places To Visit In Rajasthan – Palaces

When you speak of Rajasthan, it is royalty and poise that you think of. This beautiful destination is home to majestic palaces, mesmerizing attractions, beautiful havelis and so on. Here is the list of places to visit in Rajasthan especially the majestic palaces:
Umaid Bhawan Palace
It is is a relatively recent construction compared to other Rajasthani architecture. It is located a convenient 20 minutes away from Jodhpur Airport. Situated on Chittar Hill, it presents a grand view of the Sun City. The palace is divided into three sections – the Maharaja’s royal residence, a museum, and a heritage hotel. It is one of the largest private residences in the world today.
Taj Lake Palace
Udaipur’s Lake Pichola is one of the best Rajasthan tourist places. Located in Udaipur, the Taj Lake Palace is a part of the Taj hotels. It lives up to its name in offering its guests the most exquisite experiences one can find in the city. Built in the middle of Lake Pichola, ...
... the palace is constructed of white marble and specialises in offering lavish service. From five-star restaurants, a premier bar, luxury suites and spa treatments, the Taj Lake Palace promises to make you feel royal. It is, thus, a favourite for weddings and honeymoons.
Lalgarh Palace
Built of red sandstone that has stood the test of time and weather, Lalgarh Palace in Bikaner reminisces of a bygone age. The special attractions about this structure are the delicate carvings upon the red stones that today almost look like fragile and delicate lace. Two of the palace wings have now been converted into a luxury heritage hotel. You will also have the opportunity to sample local Rajasthani meals along with continental fare, to the accompaniment of folk dance and music.
Laxmi Niwas Palace
The Laxmi Niwas Palace was built by the Maharaja of Bikaner to serve as his royal residence. It was constructed using pink sandstone. It is as grand on the inside as it is ravishing on the outside. Marble courtyards and refreshing fountains precede the splendid construction, and once you enter, you are greeted by ornate ceilings, carved friezes and murals depicting the local culture. In its opulence, it was used not only as a royal residence but also for hosting numerous dignitaries that visited Bikaner. At the turn of the present century, the palace was converted into a luxury heritage hotel.
The City Palace in Jaipur is one of the top tourist places in Jaipur as well. If you love history and art, these places must be included in your packages.
