The cold season has already begun. Often, it is along with runny noses, colds, and flu. Through bad lifestyle habits, diet, and lacking physical exercise, our immune system is debilitated.
The immune system is the defense system that protects our body from foreign matter, pathogens, and bacteria. If our immune system is weakened, it fails to fight harmful bacteria, and hence we can fall sick. Medicines and Antibiotics help us to recover from an illness, but they don’t support our immune system.
With a regular yoga practice and certain poses, we can increase our immune system and stimulate its capacities. The following asanas & tips will help you to attain the best health:
Dhanurasana
Bow Pose or Dhanurasana increases the blood flow by putting pressure onto the digestive system. As the blood flows better, the white blood cells are circulated into the whole body. The white blood cells protect the body against infectious diseases.
Matsyasana
Matsyasana is also called Fish Pose. It expands the chest and stimulates the thymus. Thus, improving the body’s immunity.

Setu Bandhasana
Setu Bandhasana or Bridge Pose opens the heart and improved the energy level of the body. This helps to put a better resistance against pathogens.

Shirshasana is also known as Headstand. This inverted posture gives mental clarity and strength, which contributes to a strong immune system.
Bhujangasana
Bhujangasna or Cobra Pose opens the chest and increases the blood circulation in the body. Through the increased blood flow, the immune system is strengthened.
Some more important point
Drink 3 to 4 liters of water per day
Sleep 6 to 8 hours at night
Ensure to take in sufficient Vitamin C and minerals: include green vegetables and fruits in your diet.
Practice yoga and meditation regularly
Stay warm: wear a beany to prevent energy loss
If you follow these tips and asana instructions, you will most likely experience good health and less sickness.
