Sprint Lg G7 Thinq And Samsung Galaxy A50 October Security Patch Released
Yesterday, users of LG V40 ThinQ on Verizon began to get the October Android security update. This is not the only team that gets the patch. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G and US Galaxy A50, Sprint Moto G6 Play and G7 Play, to name a few.
All in all, many OEMs have updated their devices to the October security patch for Android.
Cut to the present. The upcoming November is coming, which means OEMs must step up their efforts and actually release the October update to their devices. Today, it is Sprint that is rolling out the October update for the two devices in its portfolio, the LG G7 ThinQ and the Galaxy A50.
It is important to note that the Verizon variant of the device has been updated. The Sprint G7 ThinQ (G710PM) software update date is October 29th with G710P18a. The change log is very common for monthly Android security patches.
Even more impressive is that the US unlocked version of the Galaxy A50 was updated in early October. However, Sprint is changing to start getting updates.
The new security patch comes with the A505USQU2ASI6 as the build number, which is very ...
... tame and versatile, unlike previous updates that introduced new features. Additionalli live text is also enabled.
For those who use the Galaxy A50 (unlocked version) in the US, the October update has been released for several weeks using the software version A505U1UES2ASI5. That is a new update for the model SM-A505U1 for all US models of the device.
We know that the carrier's variant will take time to receive the OTA. Today, most A50s in the United States have a October security update.
The Galaxy A50 is part of the new smartphone Galaxy A series, which is designed to replace the mid-range smartphone J-series. The new Galaxy A device has performed very well on a global scale, reinforcing Samsung's share of the mid-market.
