Freshman Fear #6: How will I handle my finances? I am concerned.

Managing your finances can be very difficult since college is a costly affair. You need to be especially careful if you have to borrow money to make ends meet. However, it is not difficult to learn to manage your finances. Keep a record of your expenses and find out what expenses are unnecessary. Other finance management tips can be found on the internet or in your library. Spend some time on that. Understand your financial aid package well. Also, try to get a good job on the campus to assist in your financial survival. This is one of the skills that would prove helpful even in the future.

Freshman Fear #8: I am all by myself.

It is natural to be nervous. But get this clear in your mind - if you were not ready to be on your own, you wouldn't have been here in the first place. Something inside you made you feel that you are ready for it. Nervousness only shows your eagerness and your interest to do well. You will make mistakes along the way, no doubt. But it will give you good learning experience as well.
