Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has admitted that Punjab is also responsible for smog in Delhi.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has admitted that Punjab is also responsible for pollution and smog conditions in Delhi, but it cannot be blamed alone. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should leave politics on it and see the situation here. Along with this, after the outcry over pollution, the Punjab government has started further strictures on farmers who burn stubble. On Sunday, a case was filed against 40 farmers for burning stubble in Tarn Taran and Fatehgarh Sahib.

Five farmers have also been arrested in Fatehgarh Sahib. The government has started taking precautionary measures in view of the threat to the health of the people, besides strictness. Director of Health Department, Dr. Avneet Kaur has issued a letter to the civil surgeons of all the districts and asked them to remain alert.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has once again said that it is not right to put all the blame on Punjab for increasing pollution in Delhi. He said that Punjab has a role in smog in Delhi ...
... due to Western cyclone including winds coming from Pakistan but it is not the only to blame. There are many reasons for pollution in Delhi. Statistics also show this, but instead of solving the problem, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is playing a political game.

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said that despite the High Court banning farmers from recovering the Fines committed last year, the state government is taking action against farmers who burn stubble. His government is very keen to curb the problem of air pollution. A letter has also been written to the Prime Minister on air pollution in Delhi. No response has come from there yet, but it is expected that they will consider it positively.
