First off, when you pay a visit to the grocery store, don't park up front a few feet away from the entrance. Instead, find an empty spot at the far end of the parking lot and park there. This will make you walk farther than you normally would and thereby increase the amount of physical activity that you do during the day.
Take a Walk
You can also increase your physical activity level by climbing the stairs instead of taking the escalator or elevator. You may also consider riding your bike to work if you live close by, and taking a walk around the neighborhood.
Drink More Water

Pass on the Dips, Sauces, and Ketchup
You can also make small adjustments in other ways. For instance, avoid using dipping sauces like ranch or honey mustard. Refrain from using Ketchup on your French fries, sandwiches and other foods. These sauces are often not a main part of the food and you will hardly miss them.
Exercise the Pounds Away
Last but certainly not least is exercise. Perhaps the best thing that you can do to lose 10 pounds quickly is to begin a regular exercise routine and stick with it. Join the local gym and spend some time on the exercise machines, in the racquetball courts, or in the swimming pool. Try to get a minimum of 40 minutes of exercise at least three times each week and you will start to see results within a month.
