When it comes to providing a top quality education, Montgomery County, Maryland has raised the bar. The children are the future and the Montgomery County public school system wants only the brightest future possible for their students. Many of the public schools in Montgomery County, are struggling to fund the resources they need to keep this mission alive. For this reason, the Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation, Inc. has developed two grants that help support expanded learning initiatives in the public school system of Montgomery County: Maryland Technology Grants and Montgomery County Grants.
Maryland technology grants are offered to the school for various programs that follow an after-school technology curriculum, offering students a higher expansion in their public schooling within Montgomery County. There are small Montgomery County grants that are offered for projects that aren't currently funded by the foundation. These grants offer a new chance for these students to have access to more portals of education, providing the encouragement and extra knowledge needed to excel within a learning environment. The Maryland technology grants are promoting a shift in career training and learning to the fields that are most likely to dominate the industries when the students are entering the work force. Technology being such a wide spread application that is beginning to dominate sectors now, there is an increase for well trained and educated professionals to enter the field. With the Maryland technology grants available from the MCPS Foundation, there is a great initiative for this transition in training and after-school expanded learning.
As budget cuts and state and federal funding decreases can severely restrict the ability of the schools within Montgomery County to provide the opportunities the students deserve, the small Montgomery County grants offer a great solution. With funding for many projects, several already implemented, there is a greater opportunity given to these children and teens. There are several new chances opening up through the gracious and generous grant giving of the MCPS. Not to mention the donations of the community to provide this foundation with the resources needed to do what it does.
When it comes to giving, MCPS is an exceptional resource for Montgomery County schools. Offering the Maryland technology grants for expanded learning within the public school system there are future opportunities now available for these students. The small Maryland County grants offered to the county's public schools are providing even more chances that are needed greatly with the reduction in resources steadily impeding on the growing number of students within the Montgomery County public school system. Getting these grants is changing many future careers for the better.
