Annapurna Base Camp Trek also popularly called the ABC Trek is quite popular among the trekkers visiting Nepal. The trek is also called the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek as it gives the travelers a chance to visit the conservation area that is known as Annapurna Sanctuary.
This trek includes the area that surrounds the glacial basin of the mountain. There is a distinct feeling of sacredness and spirituality as one visit the area. The surroundings of the trail are made up by a variety of trees, especially Bamboo. There are several cascading waterfalls, diverse wildlife that makes the trail picturesque and memorable for anyone trekking it.
It would not be wrong to call the trail to the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek a little challenging but it is all worth the efforts. For trekkers who do not have enough time but wish to experience a comprehensive trekking trail of Himalaya, this one is a sure success. The trek will take about 4 to 7 days, has several attractions and is surrounded by mesmerizing peaks of the Annapurna region in the Himalayas.

The Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is about 14 days’ journey that will take you to the Annapurna Base Camp, the 10th highest mountain in the world at 8091 m. The major attractions of the ABC trek include viewing the sunrise from Poon Hill over the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri ranges, besides some of the most breathtaking Himalayan views and visiting a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.
