A VENTURE IN ROHTANG PASS

The Rohtang Pass is situated at an incredible height of 4,114 meter from the sea level and a coveted destination in Manali Tourism. It is filled with snow all through the year connecting two beautiful valleys of Manali and Spiti. SNOW FILLED SOLANG VALLEY

Located at a distance of 13km from Manali, Solang valley lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. It offers a beautiful view of glaciers and snow capped mountains. The valley is the perfect place for skiing especially in winter it becomes a skiing paradise, with people of all ages sliding and slipping on the fresh white snow. When the snow melts in summer, skiing is replaced by parachuting, zorbing, paragliding and horse riding. The Atal Bihari Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports are based here which is venue for winter skiing festival.

HIDIMBA DEVI TEMPLE

An ancient temple in Manali dedicated to Hidimba, wife of Bheem from the epic Mahabharata. Enclosed by a cedar forest, this structure by where Hidimba meditated was built in 1553. The temple structure has three square roofs in decreasing length topped by a brass cone. The doors are curved with images Goddess Durga. The temple has a peaceful ambience.

MANALI-LEH CYCLING TRAIL
