Manali – A Favourite Destination For Nature Lovers

Holidaying in Manali is always a pleasure. Himachal holiday packages have something on the platter for all kinds of tourists catering to everybody’s wish list. A VENTURE IN ROHTANG PASS

The Rohtang Pass is situated at an incredible height of 4,114 meter from the sea level and a coveted destination in Manali Tourism. It is filled with snow all through the year connecting two beautiful valleys of Manali and Spiti. Here you can enjoy several snow based activities like snow scooter skiing, parachuting, zorbing, paragliding etc. You can also visit Marhi and Gulaba which are picturesque villages’ located en-route to Rohtang Pass. Rohtang Pass serves as the gateway to Panji and Leh valley. Enchanting sights of glaciers, snow covered peak and rivers continue to amaze the nature lovers as they ride the bottle necked road that are unforgiving and don’t entertain novice drivers.

SNOW FILLED SOLANG VALLEY

Located at a distance of 13km from Manali, Solang valley lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. It offers a beautiful view of glaciers and snow capped mountains. The valley is the perfect place for skiing especially in winter it becomes a skiing paradise, with people of all ages sliding and slipping on the fresh white snow. When the snow melts in summer, skiing is replaced by parachuting, zorbing, paragliding and horse riding. The Atal Bihari Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports are based here which is venue for winter skiing festival.

HIDIMBA DEVI TEMPLE

An ancient temple in Manali dedicated to Hidimba, wife of Bheem from the epic Mahabharata. Enclosed by a cedar forest, this structure by where Hidimba meditated was built in 1553. The temple structure has three square roofs in decreasing length topped by a brass cone. The doors are curved with images Goddess Durga. The temple has a peaceful ambience.

MANALI-LEH CYCLING TRAIL

Manali to Leh cycling expedition is a scenic ride taking you through some of the highest passes of the world and cutting across beautiful trails with Himalayas. The route from Manali to Leh is straight forward with rough dirt track, some tight climbs and some challenging descents. The trail cuts across three mountain ranges of Zaskar, Main Himalayas and the Pir Panjal range and exciting part of Manali Packages.
