The only thing that makes it better is when the plants that we grow give something back to us! Vegetable gardening is a perfect example of this - give life to plants and nurture them, and they will give you deliciousness in return!

Carrot-
Carrot is a root crop and and requires some precautions. Make sure that there are no rocks or stones in the soil bed or coco peat before sowing the seeds. You can add a thin layer of wood ashes over the seedbed to make the carrots sweeter. On planting them, lightly mulch the seedbed to avoid soil crusting.
Add more mulch about 6 weeks after sowing them. This prevents the roots’ exposure to the sun, which makes them bitter in taste. Carrots are generally ready to be harvested in about 8-10 weeks. Drench the bed with water for easy harvesting!

Green Peas
Peas are pretty straightforward to grow and don’t require any extra precautions as such. They should always have plenty of water to prevent the sprouts from dying out.
Harvesting peas can be a tricky business. Use your nails or a scissors to pinch the pods. This should be done with the pods are well ...
... filled but before they begin to harden or fade in colour.

Capsicum
These are perhaps the easiest to grow at home. They need fertilizer before being planted and their ideal temperature should not exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This plant should also be kept away from humidity.
It has to be deep watered weekly for best results. You can begin harvesting once the capsicum reaches a usable size, and you can leave some on the plant to ripen further!

If you’re into some low-key gardening and not heavy vegetables, you can also purchase herb gardening kit or flower gardening kit!
