Earth We Deserve - Small Changes For Big Impacts
Reduce the use of paper- Use adequate quantity, pulling out tissues when you wash your hands can be a serious trouble maker in the future.
Right Dustbin- Put the waste in the right bin according to the category. There is a reason why we segregate dry and wet waste at home or have recyclable and non-recyclable bins at the malls. Always keep a note of the colour, Green bins are for wet waste and Blue is for the dry waste.
Save Power- Switch off your lights when you are away or when you don’t need it and use power saving options.
Did you know? If urban cities use electricity judicially 90% villages in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal can get electricity.
Save water- It is a fact that 70% of the Earth is water, but only 2% of it is fresh water. Stop splurging your time in the shower and close the taps when you don’t use them. If at any time you notice an overflow get it repaired. Support companies who take responsibility to cut down their usage of water.
Heating- Make sure you check if your space is not overheated or underheated. Devices like CPU’s and other devices ...
... also cause heating to take a break and switch it off.
Contribute- Admiring the environment is nice, but take a step towards keeping it clean and planting trees. Get associated with NGO’s, Drives for a clean environment and other such programs.
Did you know?- Every tree produces enough oxygen for 3 people to live.
RECYCLE- Please reuse or recycle your waste, Find out ways to use your old t-shirts, tires, crockery, Plastic, Paper etc. and recycle them.
DON’T’S-
BIG NO TO PLASTIC- Forget plastic which is not recyclable if you want to keep living on this planet. Plastic is not biodegradable and it’s a big no no for our environment.
CFC’s- Chlorofluorocarbon is one of the biggest factors that contribute to environmental pollution. Know more about the products that produce it and reduce their usage.
Transportation- Do not drive your car every day, rather use public transportation and reduce pollution. If you drive alone, try pooling your ride with a friend.
Throw away- Do not throw away plastic bottles or cans anywhere, they are choking the earth and water. We have seen so many pictures and videos which show how marine life is getting affected by plastic. It’s time to act upon it and not throw away these wastes on the ground or in the water bodies.
Drainage system- If you have a factory make sure the harmful toxins are not released in water bodies. This water eventually reaches us and also pollutes the marine life and other animals that drink this water.
