Rome is a very exciting city sitting in the heart of Italy. This is not just for those who love historical and architectural lands, but also for those who love to eat authentic and luscious cuisines. The crowded streets, powerful and dominating history, the authenticity of cuisines and every other thing that you would want is available in abundance in Rome. My recent trip to Rome was a two-day trip that I made on the last weekend. I enjoyed the people, food, monuments and weather in the city to the fullest. So just like me, book cheap flights to Rome using Cheapbestfares and enjoy to the fullest.
Day 1
Rome has always fascinated me in one, or the other way and one of its gems that has always made me go crazy is the world-famous Colosseum that is existing in the city since the times of gladiators in 80 AD. This place is loaded with travelers throughout the year, and you would find even those who have already visited here. If you come here in the morning, you would save time as well as the rush of people. After you have visited the arena. As this is going to be an early morning and a big day ahead, start your day ...
... with what is invented here, “Espresso.” One of the famous places that could serve you the best coffee goes by the made Roscioli Caffè, and once you have your stomach full with some snacks to company this, just visit Pantheon. This is another masterpiece of the city. Altar of the Fatherland was my next stop. It is a beautiful place that makes your time even better with not just the architecture of it but also the 360 degrees view that it has. After this, you would still have ample time to have lunch and then visit Nonna Betta, which is one of the best eateries in town. From there after some mouthwatering cuisines, you can get to the Palatine Hill. This will ruin your boots to such an extent that you would have to call it a day. If you want to make your day this way, then just book flights to Rome now.
Day 2
On the second with the same espresso story just make your way towards the historic center of the city, Centro Storico. If you visit the near about places already, then there must not be such things but if you just went to Pantheon then in the Centro you can also spend some time flipping a coin inside the Trevi Fountain. You would find a few people enjoying their picnic time here, but usually, the place gets almost barren during lunch hours. And you can also turn towards the Piazza di Spagna which is another delicious place to eat. The Spanga is the historical steps famous in Italy. After having a good time shopping in the street shops, I then went to Vatican City nearby. There are a lot of museums and churches that can be visited in this area. You can enjoy all your time be it a weekend or a complete week. So if you wish to get here just get the domestic travel deals and witness the mesmerizing place for yourself.
