Whenever the busy travel season is about to arrive, the travelers start contemplating their vacation plans. As soon as the long weekend is about to arrive, you need to think hard about the destination that you would enjoy, the mode of transportation that suits you, and the purchases you need to make. After the destination is finalized, the second most important priority is to figure out the kind of vehicle you should take. Let us see why most travelers around the world still prefer the old-school road trips over flying in a fancy airplane.
 
Money is important
 
The first thing that comes to mind while choosing between a flight and a car is the cost. If you have to travel alone, you may not bother paying the hefty air ticket. However, when you have to travel in a group of more than three people, the air travel is going to cost certainly more than traveling by car. The cost of fuel of the car and toll taxes is split among the number of traveling members and hence, it lowers down the overall expense.

... you are in an airplane, you have to stay crammed in a small seat stuck in the cabin of the aircraft. No matter how hard you try, you cannot be comfortable in that economy class seat of the plane. Moreover, you can never see the beautiful scenery or tourist spots that might exist on your way since you are flying too high. On the other hand, you can take frequent breaks to stretch your body while traveling in the car, play the songs or movies of your choice, and stop at popular places or restaurants that you prefer.

Unless you are disciplined like an army person, you will have to face significant pain to catch your flight. An airplane surely takes less time to reach the destination, but what about the additional time that you have to spend before and after the flight? You need to get up at least four hours before the flight, stand in the long and painful queues of the airport, and waste all the time that you could have used to sleep well until you could leave in your Car Rental, which may be delivered on your doorstep. If you pack all your bags a night before, you just need to wake up 30-60 minutes before leaving for the road trip.
 
A flight is a pain
 
Forget all the time that you spend to reach the airplane, you just cannot ignore the uncomfortable journey in the airplane. While sitting in the claustrophobic seats, you have to bear the unhygienic air mixed with other people’s breaths, tolerate the sick people coughing around you, and stay deaf to the wails of crying babies. And the worst part is that when you ask someone to lower down their volume, all you hear is a rude reply to mind your own business! Why not then just take your car and travel in the comfort of your own car? At least you won’t have to bear the insolence of strangers.
 
Safety
 
This is not to scare you, but accidents may happen with anyone. It is a merciless fact, but no one has ever escaped an aircraft crash. On the other hand, if you are driving the car, you can control the speed and balance of the vehicle. Even in case there is a mishap, there are still chances of survival for every passenger.
 
No doubt, a road trip is always better than the boring airplane journey.
