The study follows the premise of the question regarding the effectiveness of the interventions in social work. After it is clear, the responses regarding the effectiveness have been changing with time. As a result of the development in the volumes of the evaluation methods relying on the qualitative studies in the field of social work, the guiding question is on the effectiveness of the interventions. In the social work field, it’s paramount that the practitioners are well aware in regard to the advances made in their relevant quarters. Advocates for the practice based on evidence expect the social work practitioners to be basing their conducts on the evidence that is already available (Shek, 2005). The research studies in the field via the qualitative inquiry lens offer the best evidence that represents the research on the current problems, as well as the application of the findings in the interventions. Despite the paramount importance that the qualitative research contains, majority of the social workers receive minimal training in regard to the qualitative methodology. As a result, these practitioners are unable as well ...
... as evaluate studies that relate to the qualitative research thus making their contributions to the emerging problem minimal (Sweet, 2007).
The study evaluates the quality of the studies assessment in regard to the use of qualitative methodologies for the social work practitioners about the various criteria that are put to use. From the evaluation, it is evident that the quality of the qualitative research publications in the field of social work is small, and the reviews were insensitive to some areas. These include the philosophical bases of their studies, its consistency, audit ability, the truth value, bias, critical interpretations as well as the consistency of the data they obtain (Sweet, 2007). Thus, additional research needs to take place to alleviate the issues as well as the social work practitioners using the methodology to be cautious. The researchers using the methodology in the field should practice paramount sensitivity to the aspect of quality as well as their training being adequate in regard to the evaluation (Fielding, 2006).
Data from the quantitative research in epidemiology offers critical information in regard to the prevalence, causes, risks, correlation, disease prevention and treatment couples with health issues at the level of a population. The inability of the quantitative research to offer practitioners with enough evidence based information to enable sound decisions makes it imperative that the practitioners adopt qualitative research (Meyrick, 2006). Qualitative study thus helps in the identification of aspects that the qualitative research fits in regard to the practice of evidence-based paradigm. The qualitative study methodology addresses the question of how practitioners in the public health can make use of the qualitative research. Identification of strategies to make use of in the research results conceptually, symbolically as well as instrumentally identified via the application of the Estabrooks conceptual framework (Jack, 2006).
The fact that the qualitative methods typically involve in the answering the questions of causation and effectiveness make it inferior to the qualitative research that answers why and how. The quantitative research offers a surface value understanding of the demerit at hand and the desire for a deeper understanding makes the qualitative research the most preferential method. However, practitioners in the social services view the adoption of both methods in combination as the most efficient approach for the public health professionals in the evaluation of the interventions (Fielding, 2006).The failure to accrue a sufficient research-based body of knowledge raises significant concerns in the public health sector. Also the fact that the applications of the necessary actions is under the guidance of varies rationales makes it even harder for the practitioners. For instance, the contradiction, in which science fails to support ethical decision-making, could be helpful, and the regulations of practice by policies rather than pure science makes it difficult.

Qualitative research offers enormous contributions in the various fields such as medicine, public health as well as health. The limitation to the enormous contribution of the research is in the fact that the evaluators, as well as the readers practicing in the fields, lack the know-how in the judgment of the study quality.
