British Gas Prices - Reduced To Benefit British Gas Customers

British Gas serves gas and electricity to millions of households in Scotland, Wales and England. Recently British Gas has been the only supplier from the top gas providers UK to reduce its gas prices in benefit of its customers. The price reduction was up to 7%, making it the first major provider this year to do so. This reduction in British Gas tariff is going to benefit 8 million households with immediate effect. Through this change in gas tariffs, British Gas expects its customers to save approximately £55 a year. Over the past year or so, British Gas done its level best to reduce the average annual dual fuel bill by approximately £187.

Presently, British Gas offers gas through its varied products viz. Standard Gas Only, OnlineSaver Gas Only and WebSaver 6 Gas Only. Also available in the dual fuel offer range are these very product along with electricity.

Customer on British Gas Standard Gas only offer can enjoy discount up to £35 while if they opt for Energy Smart, the free electricity monitor they can save up to £84. Similarly, opting for British Gas OnlineSaver offer means customers enjoy a minimum ...
... of 3% discount against our Standard tariff until 01/05/11 while being able to save £84. In case the customer goes for WebSaver 6 he is likely to enjoy a minimum 6% discount against our Standard tariff until 1st May 2011.

In order to get most out of the gas tariff's people have been advised to go online and conduct price comparison checks on gas suppliers. Most of them are likely to find online gas tariffs extremely cheaper especially those with British Gas, E.ON, EDF, ScottishPower, and Scottish and Southern Energy.

While those who are on either fixed tariff plans or on expensive gas tariffs could always cancel their contract by paying a nominal fee and move over British Gas prices online which are but naturally cheaper and economical.
