The Best Way To Give A Suggestions To Sell Or Recycle Your Old Smartphones In 2019
Recycling or selling? We look at the best way to earn the most money from your old phone.
If you like us, your drawer will be filled with old phones, tablets and other gadgets. We outline the best sites for selling products online, so you can make money to buy more.
The recycling week has arrived, and in the spirit of an environmentally friendly environment, we have used some methods to safely recycle your smartphone and make some money in the process.
This is a modern scourge: the fast-paced upgrade cycle of technology products means that we all need to get new phones before we really need them, as well as tablets and many other gadgets.
They are still worth the money, so it doesn't make sense to put them behind the drawer: stick them on the net and sell them quickly. There are a variety of apps and websites that can be used to get rid of the toolkits you don't need (it certainly doesn't necessarily be technology - it can be anything).
If you're trying to sell a phone or tablet, you'll have a specific website. For a separate guide on how to sell your phone, see more information.
Whether ...
... you want to help reduce the cost of high-end smartphones like the iPhone 8 or Samsung Galaxy S8, or just put your smartphone in the dust, there are many companies that are willing to pay a premium for their old phones. We run these numbers to determine the most profitable sales methods and identify the big-name smartphones that have the lowest value when you sell them second-hand.
Best Buy Smartphone - Check out this year's must-have phone
To understand how much you can earn by selling smartphones, we’ve compiled a list of some of the most popular phones released in the past three years and learned how much you can get.
Our full list includes Apple iPhone 6 (16GB) in 2014, Samsung Galaxy S6 (32GB) in 2015 and four mobile phones in 2016: Apple iPhone 7 (32GB), Samsung Galaxy S7 (32GB), Google Pixel (32GB) ) and Huawei Mate 9 (64GB).
Selling Smartphones Online
If you sell online, you may make more money. The mobile recycling website will buy your mobile phone at a flat rate, but listing your mobile phone online may see several buyers competing to increase the final price.
We browsed the same list of smartphones to see how many people sold them on the auction site. For each model in our list, we used the five of the lowest Buy Now lists to find the conservative price available for your old phone.
In each case, the average online price is higher than the price offered by the mobile recycling website. The recycling site will buy the iPhone 6 for about £130, but they sell for nearly £160 on the Internet.
Online users are used to seeing that smartphones sell a little more cash, so even if it's a bit of a hassle, we recommend that you try your luck on the auction site and then sell it to the recycling site - especially if your phone shows a higher depreciation rate. You can also buy some extra things (mobile phone case, VR headset) to entice buyers.
