Apple Iphone 12 Ultra - Fast Might Be Released In 2020 Will Let You Face Time In 4k
According to new reports, APPLE may eventually launch an ultra-fast 5G iPhone next year.
The company recently ended its multi-year legal dispute with the world's largest 5G chip maker - bringing hope to the upcoming iPhone.
Just this month, expert analyst Timothy Arcuri accused Intel, the chip maker that Apple chose at the time, because the 5G modems that make the iPhone were too slow.
Due to the long legal war, cooperation with Qualcomm's 5G boffins seems to be out of consideration - until this week.
This means that Apple hopes to use Qualcomm's impressive 5G chips in future iPhone models.
According to people familiar with the matter, Apple has now entered into a six-year licensing agreement with Qualcomm, which will "ensure the launch of the first 5G iPhone in 2020."
Supporting this theory is that Intel just announced that it will stop developing 5G smartphone chips.
This means that even Apple wants to use a 5G Intel modem on the iPhone.
Ben Wood, an expert at CCS Insight, told the Sun that "an iPhone without 5G capabilities in 2019 will not be an Apple issue."
"The number of 5G smartphones sold this year is negligible, and at CCS Insight, we do not expect sales to exceed 10 million units.
"However, we predict that this number will increase to more than 200 million units by 2020, and this is that devices without 5G capabilities may become Apple's pain points."
"Given Apple has never commented on future product plans, it is not certain whether it will launch a 5G iPhone in 2020. Although Intel still insists that it will have a 5G solution, there is growing concern about fully commercialized products. Will arrive."
"If Apple can't provide a 5G iPhone in 2020, it will have a negative impact on the overall growth of 5G.
“Operators are investing billions of dollars in 5G networks, and they need all the leading smartphone manufacturers to support them, especially in the UK market, which is as popular as the iPhone.”
Earlier this year, Qualcomm executive Jim Tran made a subtle attack on Apple's delay.
“If you are going to launch a device in 2020, you will definitely be 5G late,” said Jim Tran, who is responsible for mobile technology at Qualcomm. “He told CES 2019 attendees at the Technology Show.
"We are ready to bring consumers to the new era of 5G," told reporters at the CES 2019 Technology Show in Las Vegas.
“5G will become a reality in 2019. More than 20 operators are committed to working with Qualcomm to provide this service to consumers.”
It is expected that 5G will bring significant improvements in smartphone Internet speed.
"You will be able to have 8K video streams, and today you may only have 720p [screen resolution]," Tran explained.
"You can download 4K movies in seconds."
It also enables high-quality streaming on the move - even 4K FaceTime video calls.
