The Review Of Sony Xperia Xz2 : It Looks Memorable, Forgettable Features
Sony announced its first new hope in 2018, with the lead singer Xperia XZ2. This flagship product marks Sony's new starting point: unlike the regenerative design language that has touched every Xperia for years. What you get is a device that uses curves, gloss and absolute dreams in several ways. However, Sony still faces the problem of lacking unique features to attract people away from the brands and pedigrees they are familiar with and familiar with.
Since Xperia Z debuted in 2013, Sony has been working on a fixed aesthetic called "OmniBalance." I personally like this blocky, near-practical design overview that maintains recognizability and uniqueness compared to many different looks that other manufacturers have used over the years. However, as the saying goes, if your mobile business goes bankrupt, then have time to solve the problem. So OmniBalance has been retired as a design concept, but the XZ2 comes with some classic Sony features.
The defined border across the edge of the device is still very OmniBalance-esque, thankfully Sony decided to keep the dedicated two-stage camera button - these days are rare ...
... in smartphones. Of course, there is not much to say about the front of the device, except that it moves a small multi-color notification LED, I always find it very convenient. At the end you can see the biggest difference with the Sony device in the past. According to the OmniBalance rules, you can now get a subtle shallow curve, not just a flat pane, that can completely change the feel. There are no hard edges here, and because XZ2 is almost entirely covered in Gorilla Glass 5, it has an attractive sheen. But be careful where you put it down. Put it on the arm of the sofa, or basically anything that is not exactly horizontal, you can bet it will slide as if it has a strong desire to see what hits the floor.
A smooth glass body is not the only amazing product. It's very dense - not very heavy, but dense, just as it may require a left hook on the face, not even retreating. It is also waterproof (IP65 / 68), you can expect, because Sony is an early supporter of this feature. Although I am very satisfied with the dark black of my evaluation unit, if you have more atmosphere, or some pink pink on the market, you can choose silver or green XZ2.
All accounts are a good looking phone, but that doesn't mean there are no downsides. First of all, it is a bit too big. It must be a large display, but even with my long numbers, it's not the easiest phone to manage with one hand. In other words, it won't be everyone's preference. Again, you only have one USB-C port to use, which is another way, saying there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Of course, this is a very standard program, and Sony is enough to include a compatible headset and a USB to 3.5mm dongle in the box. However, it is worth mentioning that because I know that the lack of Jack is a trade disruptor for some people.
However, the individual who blames me in the wrong way is the chaos behind it. Previous Sony phones (outside the US) have a power button/fingerprinter combination, but the XZ2 is equipped with tested and tested back-mount events. First of all, I don't like the camera and fingerprint reader huddle together. It's not particularly pleasing (probably a golden rule type thing), it's not very useful. Yes, the main camera is in such a position that your hand will not block the lens when you shoot, but it will push the fingerprint reader too low. The focus of the back-mounted sensor is that the fingertip naturally falls on it. On the contrary, when the reader refused any finger meat, I found myself staring at the camera glass.
Overall, the XZ2 looks and feels very much the flagship of 2016. If this sounds like criticism, then it is not. However, my marketer can't think of any way to insert a distinguishing feature. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, but Samsung has a curved screen, Apple has its gap, and Sony? Well, Sony's stuff doesn't look the same as what was made in the past five years.
Camera
If Sony knows one thing, it's a smartphone camera - you'll find its sensors in most top-of-the-line devices. The XZ2 is waving one of the company's 19-megapixel "Motion Eye" cameras, the boy, which needs some pretty shots. There are many details in the 17 megapixel image it emits, and most of the time is color saturation. It stays good enough in low light, but, in general, the shutter speed slows down much in these lower times.
