That affects women to take insulin resistance that is 50-70% in any women affected by PCOS leading with other set comorbidities that includes metabolic syndrome, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, glucose intolerance, and diabetes. The research has show that women with PCOS are more likely to have increased coronary artery calcium scores and increased carotid intima-media thickness.
Mental health disorders which is also there for females to face which is including different mental health like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and binge eating disorder also occur moreover in women suffering with PCOS. Weight loss or gain improves menstrual irregularities, symptoms of androgen excess, and infertility. PCOS also have other list of issues that includes oral contraceptives for menstrual irregularities and hirsutism.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome diagnosis with the treatment options for infertility include clomiphene, laparoscopic ovarian drilling, gonadotropins, and assisted reproductive technology. Proper diagnosis and management of PCOS treatment is essential to address the patient concerns but also to prevent future metabolic, endocrine, psychiatric, and cardiovascular complications. Women with PCOS often seek care for these menstrual disturbances and infertility.
Menstrual disturbances is been very commonly observed in PCOS include menstrual bleeding. There are 30% of women with PCOS will be still having normal menses. Nearly around 85%–90% of women with oligomenorrhea have PCOS diagnosis done while 30%–40% of women with amenorrhea will have PCOS. So there are more than 80% of women showing or presenting with these symptoms of androgen excess having PCOS. Hirsutism is a common problem that is presentation of hyperandrogenism which might be occurring in 70% of women with PCOS or may be even more.
