After launching Desire 12 and Desire 12 Plus a few months ago, HTC officially announced the launch of a mobile phone for the Indian market. The company promised yesterday that it will launch a mobile phone in India. Smartphones are particularly attractive in design because of their attractive liquid surface finish.

They offer an aspect ratio of 18:9, powered by mediocre processors made by MediaTek and Qualcomm. Let's take a closer look at the price, availability and specifications of the two phones:

Update: The HTC Desire 12 Plus is now available in the UK for £199 ($265/$350) with Cool Black and Warm Silver. Original stories and details are as follows.

HTC introduced the Desire 12 and 12 Plus, which introduced a new, longer 18:9 screen format at a lower cost.

The Desire 12 features a 5.5-inch screen with fewer side borders and a single 13MP sensor on the back of the phone with an f/2.2 aperture sensor.

It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, and if you need 32GB of capacity, it is 3GB, both versions can handle up to 2TB of micro SD card.

The internal is MediaTek's quad-core ...
... CPU, suggesting that the cost of mobile phones is low, and the HTC Desire 12 screen has only 5.5-inch high-definition panels.

The HTC Desire 12 Plus has been slightly improved, apparently the more expensive of the two, and although it has the same low resolution, it still costs £199 (about $265/$350).

The main change is the camera on the back of the phone, and the 13MP sensor is connected via the 2MP option to provide some background blur bokeh effects.

This is a hint from the past that HTC is one of the first brands to bring dual sensors to market, and the HTC One M8 offers the same sense of depth.

The retro twist on these phones doesn't stop there, because the HTC U11 has similar acrylic glass behind it, and although they don't use the same LCD glass technology, these phones look so amazing.

The HTC Desire 12+ also ran a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 CPU under the hood, and a little more buzz was sent to the phone. Regardless of whether this is the reason for Desire 12 Plus running Android Oreo or the smaller Desire 12, the unknown version of Android remains to be seen.

We don't know what the price of the HTC Desire 12 is, but in the UK, at least the HTC Desire 12 Plus is priced at £199 ($265/$350) in cool black and warm silver.

This is a lower price than we expected, and the standard HTC Desire 12 may be cheaper.

When you can get that phone (if you are in the UK outside of 12+), there is still speculation that price and regional availability remain to be confirmed, but we look forward to a wider promotion for Desire 12 Plus and HTC Desire 12. The release is about to begin.
