UNDERSTANDING HEART DISEASE
The medical definition of heart disease is any disorder that influences the heart. Sometimes the term "heart sickness" is used narrowly and incorrectly as a synonym for coronary artery disease. Coronary heart disorder is synonymous with cardiac ailment but not with cardiovascular diseases which is any disease of the heart or blood vessels. Coronary heart disorder is due to any problems with the coronary arteries that keep the heart from getting sufficient oxygen and nutrient-rich blood.

THE CHOICE BETWEEN HEART BYPASS SURGERY AND ANGIOPLASTY
Heart bypass is considered one of strategies used in the treatment of coronary heart disease. The other is angioplasty and stenting. We explain the difference. CABGD, or heart bypass, is one of two techniques used in the treatment of CHD. The alternative is percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), mostly called angioplasty and stenting. Both purpose to enhance the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the heart. Angioplasty is a minimally invasive technique of widening a coronary artery. It makes use of a balloon catheter to widen the artery from within, and a stent is generally located in the artery to keep it open. No anaesthetic is needed, and patients can often go home the same day or the next day. The recuperation time for angioplasty is a whole lot quicker than heart bypass, but angioplasty isn't really advised for all people with CHD. Angioplasty is regularly used for people with much less-severe coronary artery ailment.

BALLOON MITRAL VALVULOPLASTY: THE CONCEPT
Patients who have been diagnosed with mitral valve stenosis, high-risk aortic stenosis or certain blockages of the plumonic valve may advantage from balloon valvuloplasty. These valvular obstructions are relieved using pretty specialised balloon catheters. A balloon is threaded into the heart thru the vein (femoral) within the groin and temporarily elevated across the narrowed valve. The goal of this procedure is to enhance blood flow throughout the mitral valve. There are several types of valvuloplasty: Balloon mitral valvuloplasty, Balloon aortic valvuloplasty Balloon valvuloplasty is a procedure is often used to treat:
• Aortic stenosis: The narrowing of the aortic valve inside the heart which restricts blood flow through the valve and forces the heart to contract harder to pump blood into the aorta
• Valvular heart disease: Any disease related to one or more of the valves of the heart, Valvular heart disorder may be inherited or obtained

PERMANENT PACEMAKER INSERTION TECHNIQUE
Permanent pacemaker insertion is considered a minimally invasive procedure and most people go home within 24 hours. Transvenous access to the heart chambers under the local anesthesia is the favored approach, most commonly through the subclavian vein, the cephalic vein, or (not often) the inner jugular vein or the femoral vein. The manner is generally performed in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or in an operating room (OR). The pacing generator is generally located subcutaneously in the infraclavicular place. Occasionally, pacemaker leads are implanted surgically thru a thoracotomy, and the pacing generator is located within the stomach region.
