With its many national parks and reserves Uganda offers you many different opportunities for safari holidays. To come into close contact with wildlife in their natural habitat and explore the famous African landscape it gives you the chance.

Uganda is definitely the right destination if far from home you really want to take a break from the pressures of modern home and have Uganda Wildlife Safari. Providing incredible tours throughout the country there are abundant wildlife sanctuaries which to suit the taste of every individual.

A true adventure is the rivers filled with aquatic life, shimmering lakes and lush expanse of the tropical rain forest. Apart from this, a unique landscape is offered by the glacial peaks of the Ruwenzori Mountain range (Africa tallest mountain range).

Allowing travelers to visit the country any time of the year Uganda has tropical climate. Between the months of December to February are the hottest months.

Although from so many you can choose but you might want to consider the following suggestions if you have ...
... only a short time to visit:
Queen Elizabeth National Park- Covering almost 2000sq km, Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most popular Uganda safari destinations. It is bordered to the west by Lake Edward and to the north by Rwenzori Mountains.

Between lakes Edward and George, on the rift valley it enjoys a stunning location and supports around 612 bird species and95 mammal species. Activities include bird watching, chimpanzee tracking and wildlife tours safaris.

Bwindi impenetrable national park - to more than half of the remaining world gorilla population Bwindi impenetrable forest is a habitat. On an exciting mission to track gorillas most visitors come to Uganda mainly to visit Windy to have Gorilla Tours.

The park is also home to primates including colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, duikers, baboons, the rare giant forest hog and bushbucks and forest elephants.

For bird watching safaris Bwindi is also a popular destination as it hosts a variety of insect as well as birds species. One of the richest areas in Africa for flora and fauna is Bwindi, which is one of Africa's most ancient rainforests.

Lake Mburo National Park - you get to pass gallery forest, open acacia woodland, savanna, and open water, permanent and seasonal swamps and rock kopjes while you search for the immense wildlife Lake Mburo national park supports.

Species that are not found in any other park are contained in this park; these include Burchell's zebra, Impala, and Eland. Activities include guided walking safaris, boat trip/ launch cruise, game viewing, fishing excursions, bird watching.

Murchison falls National Park - the opportunity to see good numbers of giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, Ugandan kobs (antelopes), crocodiles and hippos is offered by Murchison falls park. On the north bank of the Victoria Nile Wildlife drives usually take place.

This is in the area between Lake Albert and Paraa. A fabulous ride up the Victoria Nile River to their base is involved in the falls and so it is worth visiting to see. There are plenty of elephants and usually birds, hippos, and crocodiles en route and you could catch a glimpse of the rare shoebill stork if you are lucky.

In Uganda, this is the only national park where while walking visitors can see animals and scenery but you must be accompanied by an armed guard.
