If you are planning to buy a new iPhone, there are definitely many options.

Apple currently has a large number of smartphones for all tastes and budgets - starting with the £349 iPhone SE and rising to the stunning 1,000-pound iPhone X flagship.

Parallel to these budgets and high-end devices are Apple's two most popular smartphones - the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 8.

With good specifications and reasonable prices, it's not hard to see why so many Apple fans have made these call manufacturers the first choice.

But which one is best for you?

design

When you first see iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, it's hard to separate them.

Both use Apple's signature design, including the Touch ID fingerprint scanner at the bottom of the screen and a single camera at the rear.

If you put any of these phones in the water, they should survive and you won't be able to find the headset port on the iPhone 7 or 8.

However, although they look almost identical, there is a huge difference between them.

Although the iPhone 7 is made of an aluminum case, the top of the iPhone 8 is covered with ...
... glass.

The iPhone 8's completion feature allows the phone to wirelessly charge - this is what the iPhone 7 can't do.

Charging is easy without the need for cables, although glass-covered equipment may not be suitable for those who are prone to dropped calls.

Also worth noting is that the iPhone 8 is heavier than the 7 but it is now Apple's only smartphone with the stunning PRODUCT RED color scheme.

iPhone 8 is available in gold, silver, space gray and product red
performance

One area where you will notice the difference between these phones is speed.

Apple has added a new A11 Bionic processor to its iPhone 8, which brings additional buzz to this latest device.

Apple said that A11 Bionic is actually about 25% faster than the A10 brain you found in iPhone 7.

If you want the final performance iPhone 8 must be purchased, but iPhone 7 certainly does not slack, it should be completely suitable for ordinary users.

camera

The rear of the two devices almost all have the same camera, but if you buy the iPhone 8, there is an advantage.

Apple has greatly improved the low-light capabilities of new phones, which means taking snapshots when the lights go low.

Other features on the iPhone 7 and 8 include optical image stabilization, Quad-LED True Tone flash, for automatic HDR and slow motion video recording of photos.

battery

In terms of battery performance, there is almost no relationship between the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 8.

Apple confirmed that they can last for about the same amount of time, and users can get a full-day life with a single charge.

However, one of the benefits of using the latest device with the iPhone 8 is the ability to quickly charge to 50% in 30 minutes.

It's worth noting that the charger in the box can't perform this quick replenishment, so you need to buy a quick charger from Apple.

price

It may be slower, no wireless charging, no identical camera credentials, but the iPhone 7 is cheaper than the new brother.

The 32GB model for the iPhone 7 purchased directly from Apple is priced at £549 and the 128GB version is priced at £649.

The iPhone 8 does have more memory, but the 64GB model is also more expensive, with the 699 pound and 256GB versions priced at £849.

The contract price also reflects the transaction spread on the iPhone 7, starting at £23 a month - the iPhone 8 is expected to pay more than £32 a month.

VERDICT

If you want the ultimate Apple smartphone and can't extend to the £1,000 iPhone X, then the iPhone 8 should be your first choice.

The phone includes an excellent camera, wireless charging and stunning glass design, as well as a built-in A11 processor.

However, if value for money is your top priority, then the iPhone 7 does have no problems.

It may have been almost two years, but it's a sturdy device that provides plenty of power and a very good camera, and the price is cheaper than the new brother.
