Working from home is something that many people want to do, particularly moms who are looking after their children but still want to earn some money. 1. Child Care/Baby Sitting
As a mom yourself you will already be experienced at looking after children and if you really enjoyed doing it then looking after other peoples children could be something else to consider. Maybe start by offering to look after a friends children and see how you get on or just start with a couple of hours a day and a few days a week. There is a huge demand for cakes for all sorts of special occasions, including weddings, birthdays, good luck, leaving present and many many more. A business like this has very low start up costs and once you start building up a portfolio of your work and word of mouth spreads then your business will grow in no time at all.

4. Writing
If you have a computer and internet access (and if you are reading this then you most probably have), then writing/typing is another good working idea for stay at home moms. No previous experience is really necessary and again, this has very low setup costs. They are many individuals or companies out there that need people to write reports, articles, proof reading, do data entry or even answer emails.

5. Ebay Business
Selling on Ebay is a great way of making extra money and the great thing is that you can start off by just selling stuff that you have around the house, generating instant cash. You can also see whether you like this way of making money without investing any money and, if you do, you can then look at setting it up as a part or full time business. Ebay is great as literally anything can sell on and it is not at all complicated to get started.
