Once only available to the military, transport fuel tanks manufactured by Gold Coast enterprise, Turtle-Pac, are now available to the public.

The availability of the tanks, which have been used on the front line in Iraq, opens up many new opportunities for commercial and humanitarian use.

The latest transport fuel tanks and emergency fuel bladders utilise exciting new technology, which makes them resistant to just about anything.

Safer And Lighter
Lighter and more easily manoeuvrable than traditional rigid tanks, or old technology rubber tanks. TURTLE-PAC tanks can be transported on a tray ute or flatbed truck. Once empty, they can be rolled up and stowed away.
The Army Truck Tank is a far safer option, as it is not subject to corrosion. With no air space to worry about, it also eliminates the risk of dangerous vapours - explosion, condensation and contaminated fuel.
Transport fuel tanks can be placed on the vehicle and then filled, for speed and safety. Once at their destination, they can simply be rolled off.

Environmentally-Friendly Option
Logistically and commercially, ...
... the use of flexible fuel tanks makes far more sense, as you're not paying for empty runs. Also reduces the number of runs, making them a more environmentally-friendly option.
The tanks can be used for other liquids, including water. Again contamination is not an issue, as the lack of air space avoids the growth of algae.

TURTLE-PAC Flexible tanks are built tough, to last. They can even be dropped from an aircraft - without a parachute. Try doing that with a rigid tank!

Unrivalled Durability
The secret is in the manufacturing, and the choice of materials. The system used is effectively a tank within a tank. Made from an extremely strong nylon weave, the exterior is double-coated for resistance to the elements. For even more durability, the seams are electro fuse welded.
Emergency fuel bladders – known in aviation as collapsible aircraft and helicopter ferry tanks - are made using the same tough materials.
Available in a range of sizes, they can even be strapped into a seat for ease and convenience. As the name suggests, the tanks provide a extended fuel source for ocean and desert crossings.

Commercial Benefits
They also offer commercial advantages, as pilots can fly longer and further. Up to five times stronger than metal tanks, they can also be rolled up and stowed, making space for extra passengers or cargo.
These Australian-made products are attracting interest from all over the world. In May, the company exhibited them at the 10th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition, HeliRussia, in Moscow. From the 40 litre Turtle Buddy, to 2000 Litre ferry fuel bladders, like the Drop Drum, the benefits are clear to see.

Turtle-Pac will also exhibit at AIR VENTURE OSHKOSH from July 24-30, an event attended by around 650,000 visitors. Considered the biggest private air show of the year, held in the USA, the event draws around 12500 aircraft total, along with exhibitors from all over the world.

Turtle-Pac will be taking its latest aircraft ferry tanks to the event, and is bound to secure interest from both private and business aircraft enthusiasts.
