The Health Disparities faced by women
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has progressive efforts of improving healthcare quality and reducing the health care disparities (AHRQ, n.d). Women face health disparities in various areas of health care. Among them is the health conditions like cancer that comprises of colorectal cancer, breast and cervical cancer. Other health conditions are chronic kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, and HIV and AIDS. Many women are also liable for health disparities in the provision of Maternal and Child Health, transgender health issues, mental health and substance use. There is an enormous disparity in the delivery of the health care services related to the outlined diseases and health conditions (Healthcare Quality and Disparities in Women, 2011).

... health care is to make all the families live well. At the local level, the strategies include women undergoing early diagnosis of diseases like breast cancer. Another strategy in place is ensuring that patients suffering from various illnesses receive the correct treatment and in a timely fashion. The other strategy is administering the right medications to all patients. The health care providers have a role of listening to their patients and families, accord them respect and answer their questions in a culturally manner (Healthcare Quality and Disparities in Women, 2011).

At the National level, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has women in its priority populations since their healthcare needs are unique. AHRQ supports research that has a focus on the aspects of health care provided to women (Healthcare Quality and Disparities in Women, 2011). Other strategies in place include enhancing the response of the health system to the needs of women and understanding the differences between the needs of women and men. Another issue is eliminating disparities in healthcare delivery systems.
The strategies enacted have promising results in the reduction of disparity of healthcare in women.
