You'll also benefit from the excellent public and private transport options available from the airport that helps you ...
... get to the places you wish to explore.
The Grand Palace is among the most popular attractions you can explore after arriving at the airport in any of the flights to Bangkok. It is recommended that you have just a brief tour of the palace as it is quite a large complex and would take more than an hour for you to see all the offerings. Constructed in the 18th century, it housed the royal government, the king, and his court until the abolition of absolute monarchy in the year 1932. Today, this palace is used for official events, including many royal ceremonies and state functions. Make sure you're modestly dressed, covering your legs and arms when visiting the palace as it is also home to the 'Wat Phra Kaeo' or Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
You can also visit the Khao San Road after getting to the Suvarnabhumi Airport in any of the flights to Bangkok. It is visited mostly by the backpackers, as it offers endless shopping opportunities with the availability of a wide range of items, such as local handicrafts, paintings and DVDs at the stalls. The street gets transformed into a stretch of pubs and bars full of travellers in the evenings. You can also rid yourself from the pains and fatigue with a classic Thai massage or feast on a bowl of noodles while visiting this part of Bangkok.
Don't miss the Wat Pho, which is the oldest and the largest Buddhist temple in Bangkok. It is believed to be the place where the famous Thai massage was born. The temple still has the most prestigious massage training facilities in the world. You'll get to witness the Reclining Buddha, which is the greatest attraction of Wat Pho. If you wish to visit this temple, you’ll need to set aside an hour to explore the chapels, murals, and a large collection of Buddha images.
