There are some herbal beverages which will help keep your gut in good health. They also facilitate good digestion and bring about bowel movement. It can also improve good skin conditions!
Green tea, lemon tea and lemon grass, ginger tea is different flavours of the beverages which are herbal in nature and can boost good digestive system. Doctors often suggest these herbal teas which are better than having your normal tea and coffee. They contain caffeine, not that green tea is devoid of it but you can get green tea which is specifically non caffeinated. It is said that people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome must avoid caffeine drinks as they have the power to aggravate these symptoms.
Ginger is the most effective one, when you have indigestion problems and bile juice in your stomach. Just grate fresh ginger in hot water and leave them for 10 minutes and have it. If this is consumed at least 4-6 times the day you have irritable bowel problems, you will soon feel the relief.

Alternatively, you can take enteric-coated peppermint-oil capsules. The coating ensures that the oil reaches the intestine instead of breaking down in the stomach. Take one or two capsules three times a day, between meals.
Drink ginger tea. Ginger soothes all manner of digestive problems, including IBS. For the freshest tea, grate a half-teaspoon of ginger into a cup, then pour in hot water, let it steep for 10 minutes, strain out the ginger, and drink the tea. Ginger tea bags are also available.
