The rate at which the calories in food is burnt is known as metabolism rate. There can be two people following similar diet, exercise and routine and still have a difference in their metabolic rate. When you reduce the frequency at which you eat food, your body saves up those resources through out the day and not burn up your calories. It is therefore important to eat less and more frequent meals so that your body does not store up the calories as reserve.

When you eat, make sure it does not have a lot of calories in it. Eating more frequent meals with less calorie intake in it is more advisable. Do not drastically bring down your calorie intake. Increase protein in your diet so that your insulin level will be reduced. There is lesser secretion of insulin in your blood stream if you eat diet rich in protein. This will inturn affect your rate at which the calories burn out too. Bring about minor changes in your life style, this way you can create a difference in the rate at which you burn out your calories.

Exercising regularly will improve your metabolic rate. Half an hour work out before dinner will help you will ...
... increase your metabolism.

Studies have also shown that women who have a tendency to gain more weight often witness lower level of probiotics in them. And those who have normal weight have these beneficial bacteria in abundance. It also allays many issues from bowel disease to allergies. No more of irritable bowel syndrome or indigestion. Your body will make use of the energy and calories and not get accumulated as fat.

Yoghurt is kind of dietary supplement that contains bacteria of great importance for people's metabolism. This new study found how probiotics change biochemistry of microbes which live in the gut and play great role in human metabolism. These are dietary supplements which contain live bacteria that are considered to be potentially beneficial. They are usually ingested according to the prescribed amounts so as not to abuse them and later suffer from the action.

Extra weight also helps speed up metabolism as each movement requires the contraction of more muscle cells to move the mass, even if much of the extra weight gained is fat it still requires more effort to move, however fat is not metabolically active so metabolism speed will only be higher during movement.
