In the semester, I was able to improve my writing skills through completing some assignments. However, this would not be possible with the help that you offered. Your teaching style was very helpful as you were always willing to let me know what I was doing wrong and also giving me strategies that I can use so as to correct my mistakes. Whenever I had an issue, you were always ready to help me answer the question in the right way. Your method of providing feedback was very helpful as I was able to focus on your recommendations that helped to improve my writing. I appreciate that you made sure that all the textbooks that we needed for the class was available in the library, so it was not challenging for me to get the learning materials. The quality of the lecture notes was also superb as it was very easy to read through and understand. The use of examples in explaining certain concepts was very helpful as it helped me to understand the material better.

... managed to improve my weaknesses and also use my strengths in writing to the fullest. I used the assignments to perfect my writing skills, and now I am confident about my writing capabilities. My major strength in writing is my good sense of humor, and it came in handy when I was writing the personal narrative assignment. Using this strength, I was able to write a narrative that was interesting and also captured the attention of my readers. I also used my strengths in writing including the proper use of vocabulary and also the use of appropriate words so as to ensure that the essay is easy to comprehend. I considered creating a dialog that did allow the voices and personalities of my characters to emerge in a unique way through my choice of words and using active voice.
An assignment that I found to be interesting during the course was the persuasive essay. I did not find it challenging to complete the persuasive essay. The essay involved writing a letter to the editor explaining a particular problem in the society and a solution for the problem. Completing this assignment required me to apply different writing technique that would help show how the issue was crucial and why there was need to resolve the problem. Completing this assignment needed creativity and also the ability to convince the reader about the issue affecting the society and the appropriate solution. When doing this assignment, I applied my writing skills and also used my feelings, thoughts, and emotions in my writing.
The essay that I was least pleased with was the concept paper. I found it hard to write the concept paper because it did involve a long process, and it was also challenging for me to determine the concept to explain. It was hard for me to settle on a particular topic; however, I managed to decide the topic to write that had sufficient content. I managed to learn a lot from this class and you, and I am looking forward to learning more.
