If we were to pass you a few hundred pounds at the end of every year, we’re guessing that you’d snatch our hands off. This is exactly where this top ten lists come in, which covers everything from sharper money management to savings made through vouchers.

1. Cleo –

Say hello to Cleo – the rather clever AI-powered app that helps you manage your money. You can sign up by Facebook messenger, and instantly you’ll have a financial advisor in your phone. Ask Cleo anything, from “What’s my savings balance?” to “Can I afford to buy a car?”.

2. Stocard –

Be honest, how many loyalty cards do you have packed into your wallet? And – an even more relevant question – how often do you use them?

Stocard is a digital wallet that makes actually using your loyalty cards (and racking up points) easy. Simply ask the cashier to scan your smartphone to add the points. Big names that are included in this app include Tesco, Nectar, Costa, Matalan and more.

TopCashback is one of the UK’s biggest cashback websites, providing users with average savings of £300 per year. Luckily enough they now offer a convenient app too.

This app allows you to download vouchers and discounts on everything from your gas bill to your latest shopping spree. You can check your cashback earnings on the move, and earn cashback in-store.

6. Chip -

Want to stow away savings without having to lift a finger? Chip is an intelligent savings app which calculates how much you can realistically afford to save, it also automatically manages the money transfer for you.

7. MySupermarket -

Supermarkets use all sorts of tricks and traps to lead you to believe that the products and deals you’re buying are making you a saving. MySupermarket is the answer.

The MySupermarket app takes the guesswork out of the weekly shop. All you need do is scan a barcode, and you’ll be presented with information as to whether the item is on sale, how much it’s cost previously and even receive discount vouchers if any are available.

8. Squirrel – squirrel.me

If you find it tough to make your monthly wage last all month, then the Squirrel app could help. This creates a separate account for your salary to be paid into (which is powered by Barclays). It then releases set amounts of money bit by bit, so you aren’t tempted to spend it all in one go.

9. Money Dashboard –

What are you spending your money on? If you have ZERO clue, then Money Dashboard is for you. This free app connects with your bank accounts and shows you a categorised view of your spending. This provides you with an instant overview as to where your money is being spent. Smart, right?

10. Idealo –

Stop scouring Google Shopping and wasting hours-on-end visiting site, after site, after site for the best price. Idealo does the hard work for you.

This price comparison app works for both online purchases and in-store. If you’re shopping out and about, you’d simply scan the barcode, and you’ll instantly be able to see a long list of retailers who are also selling that item (and at what price).
