Servlets, as well as JSP, are strongly supported by other technologies such as Struts, Java Server Faces (JSF), tag libraries and Ajax. Such components have been extended in the JSP as well as in Servlets framework with a goal of improving Java EE web development operations (Martin, et al., 2012).
