Why Visit World’s highest Lake, Tilicho on the Annapurna Circuit Trek?
The Annapurna Circuit Trek is the most popular Trek in Nepal for a reason—its diversity! Besides the most magnificent sights, glorious landscapes, comforting hot springs, religious breaks, the trekkers also get a chance to witness the highest lake in the world, Lake Tilicho at 4910 meters and to cross the world’s widest pass, the Thorung La Pass at an altitude of 5416 metres.
Main attractions of the Annapurna Circuit Trek
The Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho lake is a never ending adventure that rewards you with some of the most outstanding locales. While on the trek, you can enjoy the following:
 After an 8 hour long journey from Kathmandu and a few trails, the first major attraction that you will come across is the thrill of crossing the world’s widest pass-the Thorung La Pass.
 The second is Tilicho Lake. It is located at a level of 5200m from the sea level and is claimed to be the highest lake in the world.
 You can ...
... see some Blue sheep in the Annapurna Conservation area at Yak Kharka.
 Get spectacular views of the following on the way: Mt. Annapurna, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Thorung Peak, Chulu West and Chulu East, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, and Lamjung Himal.
 You can relax your aching muscles in the natural hot springs at Tatopani. The place is colorful and you can enjoy the hot showers too.
 Visit the ancient Muktinath Temple, a pilgrim place held in high reverence by both Hindus and Buddhists.
 If you want to get a taste of the local culture, lifestyle and food, take a halt at the Manang district and mingle with the friendly and warm locals here.
 Take a short visit to the famous Barge Monastery, one of the largest in the Manang district.
Besides the above mentioned main attractions, the Annapurna Trek has much more to offer. The trek is like an inclusive book in itself for all those who are interested to learn about the local culture and lifestyle of the place. The trekkers can learn a lot about the Tibetan lifestyle that is widely prevalent in the beautiful Mustang Valley. Rice paddy fields, rural farmlands, blue sheep in Yak Kharka, delightful villages, Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries are an added bonus all along the Annapurna Circuit Trek!
