The occurrences leading to the outbreak of World War II are many, but some were as a result of others. The major ones were the German Invasion of Poland and the Soviet Union, Japanese Imperialism due to the failure of the League of Nations, and the Normandy landings in Europe. The Second World War began in 1939 after Britain and France declared a period of war on Germany after it invaded Poland. The causative agents of the war are not very elaborate, but it’s clear that Germany was unhappy with a treaty on the 14-point plan that would bring peace to Europe. Thus, they waged war under Hitler. Japanese Imperialism involved a plan of having a Pacific empire in which China was a part. Thus, Japan invaded China and Manchuria in the 1930s for the search of minerals and other raw materials. It was a way of solving its economic problems and creating room for the increasing population. The other issue was the Normandy landings in Europe in June 1944. Some allied forces on the coast of France made German to retreat. France and the other countries were liberal, and the allied troops pushed eastward into Germany forcing them to surrender ...

Americans initially wanted to stay out of the conflict that would become World War II. The major reasons were the declaration of neutrality, and the fact that America was at the center of the peace plan. The issue of neutrality required Americans not to take part in the war according to the Acts, though the Congress later amended them. Next, Americans felt that they won the First World War and then suggested the 14 point plan that would bring peace. Thus, participating in war would be going against the neutrality acts and the peace initiatives.
