Janitorial Services And Beyond
If you own a business or are in the position of business manager, you know the huge impact aesthetic appearance has on your company. Whether you have frequent visitors or not, it only takes one visit to put off a great client, or worse yetâ€potential client. Of all reasons to not reach your highest earning potential, poor office appearance should not be one. You could take on the task of maintaining the office yourself. If it’s a small office and you’re just getting started, this may be a viable option. However, there’s more to appearance than just cleaning. Beyond the traditional sweeping and mopping of floors, wiping of counters, cleaning of toilets, etc., there are tough tasks such as changing light bulbs in lighting structures that may be hard to reach (such as chandeliers). There’s also dusting and vacuuming every inch of the space, which could involve moving heavy furniture and office equipment. There’s no excuse for skimping on tasks that don’t seem convenient that week because, like we said before, it only takes ...
... that one bad visit to ruin your chances with a paying customer or client.
So if these tasks seem too involved to take on by yourself, there are several things you can do. You could hire friends and family members (think of young teenagers looking for extra weekend cash) to help. If you do this, you’ll want to make sure they’re committed to doing a thorough job, otherwise you’re wasting your time and money.
If you’re looking for a more reliable solution, janitorial services are a great option. Many janitors will clean everything from your average floors, carpets, and countertops, to the less desirable jobs of cleaning toilets, baseboards, windows, and even refrigerators. In addition, many janitorial services will even perform additional services beyond the scope mentioned above. For example, by doing a quick Google search, you can easily find a company offering services such as floor waxing and buffing, furniture polishing, cob web removal, glass cleaning, stainless steel polishing, kitchen disinfecting, and trash emptying. If you ask us, these services are well worth the extra money in the long run.
For less traditional cleanup jobs, you can usually find companies that will provide janitorial services for things such as vacation homes and timeshares, one-time job sites, real estate assets, and even wedding and party cleanup. As far as cost, this will vary from company to company, so it is best to approach a few companies for quotes before deciding on one for sure. When asking for a quote, you will need to know the frequency of which you’ll want the janitors to clean (1 time a month, 1 time a week, etc., depending on your business needs) as well as the specific services you will want them to provide. Another thing to look for besides good price is a company which has a set staff on hand rather than sub-contractors. This is nothing against businesses with sub-contractors, but with the traditionally high turnover rate of the janitorial industry, a company with a set staff will give you the extra comfort of knowing that the staff is well compensated and happy with their job, therefore allowing them to produce higher quality work for your business.
Once you’ve found a good option, you’ll be able to sit back, relax, and focus on your business while reveling in a clean workspace.
