Lincoln Cars

Lincoln cars have gained the status of being among the elite cars in the world. The selection of a number of U.S. presidents, Lincoln City Vehicles with Continentals (together with their further models) are a part of the Ford Motor Company's line of premier vehicles.
In 1917, the Renowned Lincon car company was established by Henry Leland, He was among the founding members of the Cadillac company too. When the first World War was in progress, Leland, left the business afterwards started the Lincoln Motor Company along with his son, Wilfred, and started manufacturing Liberty airplane engines. After the end of the war, the corporation started making vehicles.
As a result of the financial troubles in 1922, the corporation went into bankruptcy then was sold to the Ford Motor Company, led at that time by Henry Ford, for eight million dollars. Paradoxically, Cadillac, that Lincoln producer Leland had left earlier, was one of the brand new Lincoln company's chief challengers. Though, Lincoln cars rapidly evolved into one of America's leading luxury cars.
In 1923, the corporation invented some fresh body designs ...
... that improved product sales, including a two seater roadster, a seven passenger sedan, a four door sedan and limo. In spite of the narrow market, the corporation turned a return in 1923.
In the following year, Lincoln produced a touring sedan which was generally used by police departments in the U.S. Generally known as police flyers, they had four wheel brakes, bullet proof windshields, mounted searchlights, a police siren attached to the whole system along with gun racks. Lincoln automobiles extended their reputation as a luxurious automobile producer that year through giving exclusive things including nickel-plated radiator shells and a choice of wheel types (wood, wire or steel).
Though always near the top of the luxurious automobile list, Lincoln cars strike a peak in the 1980s with the opening of the Mark VII and the Continental, which was the company's first front-wheel drive car. They closed out that decade with a unbelievable 280,659 total car gross sales. Motor Trend Magazine named the Town car as the car of the year in 1990.
The company has positioned itself for the future with the opening of the MKZ crossbreed vehicle, the MKX (to appear in 2011), which features touch control facilities on the instrument panel and voice activated functions, and the Lincoln C Concept car which has the features of a tailored avatar as well as a technique that can warn you of incoming e-mails and remind you about the calender events.
