Have a Choc Filled Easter!
This year Easter Day is on Sunday 4th April 2010. Easter is one of the oldest Christian Festivals and is widely celebrated every year. Many customs surround Easter including special church services, food and gifts. Years ago, after the fasting of Lent, Easter was always seen as a special treat and is certainly one of the traditions that has been carried on! Supermarkets and shops have shelves and aisles dedicated to Easter treats. Roast lamb has always been the traditional meat served on Easter Sunday, whilst Easter biscuits and Simnel cake were the choice for tea. I bet you've had one a penny, two a penny - hot cross buns too! But aside from Easter cakes and biscuits, it's the Easter chocolates and particularly Easter eggs that surpass them all!
