The health benefits of green tea just cannot go unnoticed anymore. More and more green tea products are coming into the market and for good reason. Studies already revealed that green tea contributes to the reduction of fats in the body, minimizes the threat of cancer, beneficial for pregnant women and improves the cardiovascular health. A lot of people, in order to cut back on coffee and still get their daily caffeine fix, are resorting to drinking green tea.

Hot tea slowly reduces fat in the body by diluting it. It does not contain any trace of fat either so it does not contribute any calories to your body. 100 ml of delicious green tea contains 0.2 grams of proteins and carbohydrates. When it comes to minerals, green tea is known to have potassium, calcium, sodium, copper, magnesium and manganese.

Green tea also contains lot of vitamins in just one cup. It has vitamins A to E plus vitamins H and K. There are varieties of vitamin B contained in that little bag of tea. It has riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), B5 and B6. It has amino acids that contribute to the production of bile acids, antibodies, hormones, hemoglobin ...

One of the least known green tea health benefit is the presence of fluoride. During brewage, fluoride is active inside the mixture so it helps the drinkers prevent tooth decay and the accumulation of dental cavities. It is also anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory to fights off cardiovascular attacks.

The health benefits of green tea do not stop there. Did you know that a cup of green tea is more potent than drinking a glass of water? Even though it is high in caffeine, it has a lot of catechin so it does not dehydrate the body.

Green tea health benefits are also in favor of expectant mothers. Pregnant ladies are prone to indigestion so taking a cup of green tea each day can help prevent that. It can also help expedite the efforts of women during child birth. You just cannot ignore all the nutritional facts of green tea so grab one now at your local grocery store.
