Weight Lifting: Of course exercise is one way to lose weight. However there are some complications that mean that people still often turn to other solutions. For one, exercise obviously takes a fair amount of time and is not really a fast way to lose weight. This can be a problem for those in a hurry to shed pounds. Furthermore if an individual is seriously overweight, or has another problem such as a bone or heart related condition, then they might not be capable of doing the exercise.

If you are going to use exercise to lose weight then one of the best options is to use weight lifting or other resistance exercise. Many people will use lots of CV and leave out heavy weights, but this is actually quite limiting. While CV will cause the body to burn the most energy and reserves the most quickly, it will miss out on some of the other benefits of weight lifting. Thus weight lifting will more quickly burn fat and tone up your muscle while at the same time helping your body to burn more fat the rest of the time as well as perform other beneficial tasks around the body. This makes weight lifting a much quicker way to tone up and lose weight even though it still requires more effort than some of the other items on this list.

Liposuction: Liposuction is a bodysculpture technique that is the most popular of all cosmetic procedures. Here the surgeon simply removes fat by directly 'sucking' the fat cells out of the body in order to 'deflate' the area. This is as simple as it sounds and uses a simple tube and suction device. In most cases it will also use an injection of fluid (this is a 'wet' liposuction) which has other good benefits containing adrenaline, anaesthetic, salt, steroids and other things that can have benefits to the procedure - preventing bleeding and bruising and making the solution saline. This has relatively little down time and a very immediate effect, however it shouldn't be taken lightly and does have some downsides, for example being quite dangerous with patients who aren't in good health to begin with and requiring multiple visits where large amounts need to be removed (no more than eight pints at a time should be removed at any one time). It can also be quite uncomfortable and requires anaesthetic and can result in some sagging skin that will look unpleasant unless removed (which can be done with a tummy tuck). However it is still a quick and relatively non-invasive procedure to quickly remove a lot of fat and is very useful for medical reasons in the clinically obese. Liposuction doesn't only need to be used on the stomach, but can also be used on the legs, buttocks, arms and anywhere else on the body.
