The Tomy Toys - Pop up Pirate is a classic family game from the 1980's. The object of the game is to slide swords into a barrel, while carefully avoiding the pirate inside. Whoever pokes the pirate and makes him pop up - loses! Pop up Pirate is fun for anyone over the age of 4 and you can have up to four players or play in teams.

Ahoy there matey's, if you are up for some retro high seas adventure, then why not plot a course for the classic 80's game - Pop up Pirate? This game doesn't feature state of the art graphics, nor does it involve motion sensors and a handheld controller; instead this game features ...
... a pirate in a barrel and some plastic swords, pure and simple! All you have to do is push the eye-patch-wearing pirate into the barrel, until the spring locks down and then away anchor, hoist the main sail and off you go. In other words, just start playing!

The aim of the game is straightforward. Simply sign up some willing motley crew mates and take it in turns to stick your swords into the barrel. Pop up Pirate comes with 4 different coloured swords, so you can have up to four players or play in teams. With six swords of each colour you can each have plenty of go's! Please note that no pirates are harmed in the playing of this game! But watch out me hearties, as one false move could result in you plugging the pirate, which will make him pop up and send him flying! In which case it'll be walk the plank time for you!

Pop up Pirate is a fun game that all the family can enjoy and makes a fabulous birthday gift too. You can name yourselves or your teams and add your own twists! So, will you be Captain Jack Sparrow or Davy Jones, or how about Elizabeth Swann? Why not throw some treasure into the game? You could get some chocolate gold coins and whoever or whichever team wins, receives some gold loot. If it's just adults playing then you could turn the Tomy Toys Pop up Pirate into a drinking game. Whoever makes the Pirate pop up has to down a shot of Rum, arghh, that's a proper pirate's drink! If you love retro games, then you will absolutely go crazy over Pop up Pirate as its all hands on deck!

So for birthday gifts, themed parties or for family game times, Pop up Pirate is perfect for anyone who is partial to parrots, eye-patches and peg legs! So grab your little plastic coloured swords and get playing....Yo ho ho it's a Pop up Pirate life for me!
