Avoid fruit such as banana, mango and chikoo which are high in calories. Instead eat plenty of grape fruit, tangerines, blue berries, water melon, apple and Vitamin C rich fruits such as oranges, lemon lime, gooseberry etc. Apple is rich in pectin which helps control cholesterol and hence is consumed by those who want to lose weight.

You can avoid pasta for break fast as it may be fattening at times. Instead make sandwich out of wheat bread and vegetables. Do not use normal bread, you can probably use low fat cheese. You can also use low fat yoghurt as a topping for your chopped fruits. You can probably have cereals, sprouted grams and other fibre rich food.

Have plenty of water, this not only improves your metabolism and dilutes your fat but also helps lower down your appetite and you end up eating less. If you drink water you feel full and have smaller meal. It does not let fat get accumulated as food gets digested well and the nutrients are absorbed ...
... well.

Eating fruits and salads is a good habit but do not consume banana, mango and chikoo as they are high on fat and people wanting to lose weight must avoid it. You can probably add some low fat curds as a topping in order to change its flavour. You can also increase your metabolism so that fat does not get deposited easily. Do not forget to work out so that you can shed off those extra kilos of weight. Eating the right food and exercising will help you a great deal.

It is said that digesting, absorbing, transporting and storing the food you consume also consumes calories. This accounts for about 10 percent of the calories used each day. For the most part, your body's energy requirement to process food stays relatively steady and isn't easily changed.

Metabolism is the process by which your body converts what you eat and drink into energy. During this complex biochemical process, calories in food and beverages are combined with oxygen to release the energy your body needs to function. Although you are at rest, your body needs energy for all its "hidden" functions, such as breathing, circulating blood, adjusting hormone levels, and growing and repairing cells. Higher your metabolism is, greater is your capacity to digest and there would be no fat deposited.
