Exposure To Chlorine & Thinning Hair Problems - Tips To Overcome!
As you all are aware that chlorine exposure will result in thinning follicles and eventually baldness if ignored. Chlorine is harsh chemical which is used to treat water and purify it. It is often seen in swimming pool and when swimmers get in touch with this water will be affected by this.
Tip1: Before getting in to the swimming pool, you must wet your mane with clean water outside which is not chlorinated. This will prevent absorption of chemicals to some extent. If your mane is priory dampened with normal water it will not absorb this water to a large extent.
Tip2: These chemicals may block them and further cause damage. Even after you come out of the pool you must wash it with normal water. Then, use shampoo which contains EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid) in it. So that there would not be any reaction to the chemical you are exposed to. It also helps remove them from your locks if it has already absorbed them.
Tip3: Repeated exposure to this chemical may result in fading of the colour of your hair. You can use baking soda, a quarter cup of it to your shampoo. This helps to lighten the colour ...
... which is present.
Tip4: Massage them well with oil. Oil therapy can help to moisten up your follicles. These will keep the dull and dry locks in good condition.
Tip5: Your locks may also need deep conditioning treatment. This will nourish them from deep within and adds shine and lustre.
Tip6: Essential fatty acids present in fish and other dry fruits are good to nourish your locks. You can treat them easily and add shine to it too. Your locks will no more be frizzy or dry.
Tip7: Never straighten your locks if they are subjected to chemicals. As it is, condition of your mane is bad and need to eat fresh leaf vegetables and apply protective serum to nourish them.
Stick with a balanced diet, complete with vitamin A (colorful foods like carrots and tomatoes), folio acid (fortified cereals and green vegetables like spinach), zinc (shellfish and meat), and fatty acids (salmon and flax seed). Eating protein-rich foods like meat, fish, nuts and soy also helps keep your hair strong.
Preventing your curls from becoming overly dry is a good way to care for them. Curly hair is prone to dryness because natural oils tend to collect at the root. Also, because the scales of curly hair's cuticle layers don't lie closely on top of one another, the inner layers are more exposed and lose moisture easily. Treat them well.
